Celebrate Mesa is a free family event that brings the community together to enjoy games, carnival rides, entertainment and more. Planned by the City of Mesa Parks, Recreation and Commercial Facilities, the spring event will take place on Saturday, April 18 from Noon to 4 p.m. at Pioneer Park, 526 E. Main (across from the Mormon Temple). Thousands attend!
Because this year is the 45th anniversary of Earth Day (Earth Day is the following week on Wed. April 22), efforts will be focused on creating a green and sustainable event. Several Earth Day awareness activities and displays will be available for guests to learn about environmentally responsible topics, activities and ideas. And, the City of Mesa is even challenging ourselves to make this year’s celebration a zero waste event by eliminating the majority of non-recyclable and non-compostable items used.
This year's festival will feature a Living Green Village that will focus on many aspects of living sustainably, and be full of kids activities! VPA will be present with kids activities as well.
